Below is the chronology of events took place during the recall Madison Nguyen drive. The purpose is to high light any significant events that related to recall Madison .

(1) March 2008, SJV4D splits into 2 organizations: SJV4D will be focused on the Archway project and Recall Madison Committee (RMC) will be focused on recalling Madison Nguyen. .

(2) March 12th, 2008, RMC formally held a kick-off meeting. It concluded that Madison Nguyen had stiffed the community at a cost of more than $100,000 in the Little Saigon naming and divided the community.

(3) April 20th, 2008, RMC held its initial proponent signatures collection drive at the Vietnamese Cong Dong Center. Within a matter of couple hours, a record of over 100 proponent signatures were collected. Equally important, a donation of $1394 was collected from the proponents and supporters.

(4) April 21st, 2008, RMC formally served Madison Nguyen with a Notice of Intention to Circulate Recall Petition. It's a first step to fulfill the adopted resolution on 9/12/07 at GI Forum community meeting.

(5) April 22nd, 2008, RMC formally filed the Notice of Intention to Circulate Recall Petition with San Jose City Clerk.

(6) May 5th, 2008, RMC filed two blanks recall petition format with election official.

(7) May 15th, 2008, RMC received final approval of the recall petition format. We can now officially start to collect the requirement of 3162 voters' signatures to qualify for the ballot.

(8) May 18th, 2008, RMC first signature collection drive at San Jose City Hall
